About your instructor
Therese Sullivan
Hi, I’m Therese Sullivan, co-founder of Otuition and I’ve been an occupational therapist for eight years. I started out in work cover and tertiary hospital settings, but my path eventually led me to community disability and rehabilitation where I found my true passion.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience in leadership, operations, cognitive rehabilitation, and working closely with the NDIS and SIL. I love that I get the opportunity to pass on what I’ve learned throughout my diverse career to others in the industry, hopefully making their life and the lives of their clients are little easier.

More information
Occupational Therapists working in the home and living space are often required to provide an assessment and recommendations for participants requiring a Support Independent Living (SIL) model of support.
To effectively support clients seeking a SIL model of support, you need to have an in-depth understanding of SIL eligibility requirements and the role an OT plays in providing relevant evidence to the NDIA.
We have taken everything we have learnt from our experience in the industry to provide you with a course focused on a SIL support model, including an easy-to-use tool to assist you in quantifying the support a person needs throughout the day.
This course will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively assess and capture the care needs of clients seeking SIL.
”I always felt overwhelmed when trying to capture and quanitfy my clients support requirements, this course helped me so much by having a tool that I can use to break a clients support requirement down and clearly demonstrate all their complexities that factor into their support needs, it is a valuable addition to my functional capacity assessments
